Chrishaven Trees is owned by Ken and Sue Christianson on their 50+ acre home farm in Burlington, Washington. In 2024, the process began of transfer of ownership and operations to Jay Christianson.
Five full time employees assist with daily operations, including potting, cultivation, planting, staking, pruning, irrigation, field digging and shipping.
We specializes in deciduous flowering and shade trees. Liner stock is obtained from a few select growers in Oregon, Washington, and BC. Plant material is either planted directly to the field that spring if it is large enough, or potted up and grown on for 1-2 seasons before it is large enough to be transplanted to the field.
Most acreage is dedicated to field grown trees in root-control bags. Our target market is the sale of 1.75” caliper size trees and larger. From time to time trees as large as 8” caliper have been sold to discerning customers seeking that perfect specimen for their large estate.
To meet customer demand for potted material, one acre is dedicated to pot-in-pot production with a nice selection of plants available year-round. Pot sizes are 15, 20, and 25 gallons. Further, we have increased production of above-ground fabric grow bags and now offer select varieties of 4-6’ trees in #7 and #10.
